So here it is, 2020, it sure felt like it crept up on me this year, but you know what they say, time flies when you’re having fun, so here I am sat in a quiet cosy cafe on the outskirts of Reading, sipping on a deliciously frothy coffee deciding how best to talk about the plans I have for myself because 2020 is going to be my year.

2020 is going to be the year I build and grow my business and it’s also going to be the year I hold my hands up and take full accountability for my health because I can’t give the time and energy I need to my financial goals if I don’t put the time and effort into looking after myself first – which brings me nicely to the title of this post – A New Year And A New Me With Noom, because I’ve decided to recommit to my health and fitness goals with the help of the weight loss specialists at Noom. Unlike many other diets that you may be seeing advertised amongst the New Years sales, Noom isn’t a diet, it’s a weight loss programme designed to help you change your lifestyle and eating habits by educating you on how to choose the food you eat, move your body more and develop positive dietary habits.

Some of the more dedicated readers of my blog may remember me mentioning Noom before as I used the programme to help me lose weight in March of 2018, losing a total of 9.4kg, that’s just shy of 1.5 stone in 4 months, dropping me down 2 dress sizes and seeing me fit into clothes that had been redundant in my wardrobe for years. What’s more, I kept the weight off for almost a year after the programme only coming unstuck when I came off of my hormone contraceptive at the start of 2019 and a new relationship saw me slipping back into old dietary habits.

It wasn’t all bad news though, I may have regained some of the weight but a good proportion of it is muscle as a result of the new active habits I picked up while on the programme, I also learnt not to demonize certain foods, found a way to eat that wasn’t solely focused on caloric restriction and learnt the power of teamwork thanks to my Noom Group Coach.

Now, in 2020, I’m poised and ready to return to Noom to restart my lifestyle learning and ingrain those positive habits into my routine for good and I’m starting the programme today.

If, like me, you woke up on January 1st and vowed to make 2020 the year that you take control of your diet and health but you’re sick of restrictive milkshake diets that fail, then why not join me on my health journey and try Noom out for yourself with their 14-day trial? Over those 14 days, you’ll start to see what Noom is all about, get a feel for what the next few months could hold and will see how small incremental changes to your daily habits can have a huge impact on not only your weight but your attitude.

What have you got to lose?

I’ll be posting regular updates about my own progress with the trial and the following 4-month plan so join me and let’s make 2020 our year.
